Who we are
MyBoiler.com helps homeowners and heating engineers make sense of boilers, controls, and hot water. The aim is clearer advice: what a fault code means, how to run a system with less waste, and when the next step is a Gas Safe registered engineer rather than another web search.
Jayesh Kanbi founded the site. The writing comes from work in heating and home energy — including energy-efficiency improvements, renewable kit, and air source heat pumps — and it is meant to be usable by both a householder and an engineer on a job.
The mission is to help you run heating and hot water with less waste. Most of a home’s energy goes on those two jobs. The first saving is usually the system you already have.
What you will find here
- Advice on boilers, controls, OpenTherm, and heat pumps.
- Fault codes, so a display code has a plain meaning.
- Tools on the toolbox, including the boiler optimiser and the heat pump checker.
- A quote, repairs, or Ask AI when you want a next step.
Our values
Integrity
Publish what we can stand behind, and leave the gaps visible.
Honesty
If a page is guidance, it says so. If a job needs an engineer, we say that too.
Respect
Write so a homeowner can follow it, and an engineer can use it.
Accountability
The site is a guide. Installation and repairs stay with a qualified engineer.
Teamwork
The pages sit with sister sites and the engineers who do the work on site.
Adaptability
Heating is changing. The advice should keep up.
What this site does not do
These pages do not install a boiler, a heat pump, or solar panels. Reading a guide is not a substitute for Gas Safe work. Installation and repairs stay with a qualified engineer. The building we work from is described on the carbon emissions page.
Contact
Use the address and phone already listed across the site. For a heating job, the quote form or repairs is the usual route. For a quick question, there is also Ask AI.
Guidance only. Gas work in the UK needs a Gas Safe registered engineer.
