How to Adjust the Flow Temperature on a Baxi Duo-tec, Platinum or 600

Set the heating flow with the radiator knob on the left. The video takes it from 75°C down to 55°C.

This fascia has two grey knobs and a central display. It is the usual layout on Duo-tec, Platinum and 600 combis. Main Eco and some Potterton Promax boilers look the same. It is not the later 800 series touch controls.

Baxi Duo-tec style control panel. The left knob is heating, the right knob is hot water.
  1. The left knob with the radiator symbol is heating flow. The right knob with the tap is hot water — leave that if you only came to lower the heating.
  2. Turn the radiator knob until the display shows the flow you want. Typical range is about 25°C to 80°C.
  3. Stop around 55°C if the house still warms. Add time on the programmer if rooms take longer to come up.

Look up your exact model on Boiler Manuals if the fascia does not match. Then return to the Baxi flow-temperature page or the Boiler Optimiser.
