How to Adjust the Flow Temperature on a Baxi 400, 600 or 800 Heat

400, 600 and 800 Heat all use the same fascia. The heating control is the small radiator knob on the left — not a big grey Duo-tec knob. There is no hot-water knob; the cylinder has its own thermostat.

The small disc with the radiator symbol is the rotary flow knob. Turn it right to raise the flow, left to lower it. Typical range is about 30°C to 80°C.

  1. The rotary knob with the radiator symbol is the heating flow.
  2. Turn it towards minus to lower the flow, or towards plus to raise it. Typical range is about 30°C to 80°C.
  3. Stop around 55°C if the house still warms. The cylinder thermostat still sets the hot water.

Look up your exact model on Boiler Manuals if the fascia does not match. Then return to the Baxi flow-temperature page or the Boiler Optimiser.
