The 10-year boiler length is the one Vaillant publishes when a myREWARDS installer registers the appliance with a Vaillant filter — the Boiler Protection Kit on plus, exclusive and pure. Both the boiler and the kit serial numbers have to go on the registration.

Vaillant says a paid upgrade may apply if the installer is on a lower tier or no Vaillant cylinder is fitted — it does not publish a current price on the guarantee tables, so we have not quoted one.
Vaillant publishes the same heat-pump pattern for flexoTHERM, geoTHERM and geoTHERM mini. Those are not aroTHERM products; check the current table if that is the appliance you have.
What you need to keep it valid
These are the conditions Vaillant publishes. They sit on top of your statutory rights.
- Register within 30 days. If the appliance is not registered in that window, Vaillant’s terms say the guarantee reverts to 12 months from the installation date (or, for heat pumps with an incomplete Benchmark logbook, 12 months from manufacture).
- Who registers it. The longer myREWARDS lengths are registered by the installer. You can also register yourself on myVaillant Web for the standard length. Ask your installer whether they have already done it.
- Annual servicing. The boiler or heat pump has to be serviced every year by a qualified installer, or by Vaillant, to the manufacturer’s instructions. The visit goes in the Benchmark logbook. The cost of that service is not part of the guarantee. Miss a year and Vaillant can treat the cover as invalid.
- Filter / Boiler Protection Kit. For the 10-year boiler length, a Vaillant filter from the Boiler Protection Kit has to be fitted, the system flushed and inhibited as Vaillant requires, and the kit serviced with the boiler. A filter from another brand does not unlock that published 10-year figure.
- Installer scheme. The longest boiler and heat-pump figures are for myREWARDS members, the loyalty scheme that replaced Vaillant Advance. Ask which tier your installer is on before you treat an 8-year or 7-year headline as the length you will actually get.
What can void it
Vaillant’s published terms include, among other points: moving the appliance to another property without written consent; contaminated system water (or glycol on a heat pump); non-genuine spare parts; wear and tear, accidental damage, pest damage, or use outside the operating instructions; installation in boats or caravans; and installation-related or external system faults. Guarantee repairs are carried out by Vaillant or a Vaillant-authorised installer. Third-party invoices are not paid unless Vaillant has pre-authorised them in writing. Cover is for domestic dwellings in the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, and Vaillant lists Highlands and Islands postcodes as excluded.
Vaillant changes these terms. Confirm the current guarantee for the appliance in front of you with Vaillant, or with your installer, before you rely on any figure on this page. The tables above are a snapshot of Vaillant’s published UK lengths as of October 2026, not a contract.
