This policy explains what happens to information when you use MyBoiler.com. It applies from 2 November 2026. We may update this page when the site changes.
Browsing the site
The pages are served through Cloudflare. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal detail just to view the site. Reading a page does not identify you, except on the Optimiser pages after you accept cookies.
MyBoiler.com is cookieless and privacy-focused. Almost every page sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. A small number of pages, currently only the Boiler Optimiser pages, use cookies and browser storage for analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) and to measure our X (Twitter) ads for the Optimiser. On those pages we ask for your consent first, and nothing is set unless you click Accept. You can opt out at any time using the cookie banner at the bottom of the page. Wherever we can find a way to do without these cookies, or they are no longer needed, we will remove them.
Boiler Optimiser usage: when you use the Boiler Optimiser, we record anonymous usage events, such as the page step you reach, the boiler brand you choose, the flow temperatures and energy figures you enter, and any campaign tag in the link you followed. This uses no cookies, and we don't store your IP address, device details or any identifier, so the events can't be linked to you. We use them only to see how the tool is used, and we delete them after 13 months.
We store only your cookie choice in a first-party localStorage flag on those pages.

We do not use Google advertising cookies. Other than the Optimiser analytics and ads measurement described above, we do not build a profile of you from your visits.
Measuring visits
Except on the Optimiser pages after you accept cookies, a page view is not tied to you. Our code does not record your IP address, and on the rest of the site we do not give you an identifier.
If you click an Amazon or eBay buy link, the page sends a short note of that click to a Cloudflare service we run. The note has the shop, the page you were on, the time, and the product path. It does not include your name, email address, IP address, or a user id, and it does not use a cookie.
Information you choose to send
We only receive personal information when you send it:
- The newsletter box sends the email address you type to Mailchimp, so we can send the newsletter. You do not have to subscribe.
- The quote form is provided by HubSpot. It receives the details you type, such as your postcode and your message.
- Ask AI is a chat provided by ElevenLabs. It only runs if you open that page and use the chat.
We use those details to reply, to send a newsletter you asked for, or to pass on a quote request. We do not sell your personal information. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter in those emails.
Security
We keep the information you send to us so that it is not left open to unauthorised access or disclosure.
Links to other websites
The site links to other websites, including Amazon, eBay, and our social pages. Once you leave MyBoiler.com, those sites set their own rules and may use their own cookies. This policy does not cover them.
