How to Pair/Re-pair Hive 2 Heating Devices

Step-by-step guide to pairing and re-pairing your Hive 2 heating devices. Understand what the receiver and hub lights mean during the pairing process.

Before You Start

Pairing your Hive 2 devices connects the receiver to your Hive Hub, allowing you to control your heating remotely. You may need to pair or re-pair your devices if you've replaced a component, reset your system, or if your devices have lost connection.

What You'll Need

Pairing Process

Step 1: Put the Receiver into Pairing Mode

  1. Locate the pairing button on your Hive Receiver (usually a small button marked with a circular arrow icon)
  2. Press and hold the pairing button for approximately 10 seconds
  3. The receiver lights will start flashing - refer to the table below to understand the light patterns

Step 2: Pair via the Hive App

  1. Open the Hive app on your smartphone
