Baxi EcoBlue – Combi and System

Welcome to the fault-codes section of this site. The following table or page contains the information required to help repair and diagnose the fault codes being shown on the boiler display. You may be guided through the fault finding sequence or steps, for rectifying your boiler with this fault code. Suggested repair solutions may be provided by a link to a repair page. NB Some fault codes are only applicable to a specific range of boilers only.

Error codePossible faultInstaller action
E10LinkOutdoor Sensor ErrorOutdoor Sensor Fault, Check The Sensor: Check In IP Menu The Outdoor Sensor Value Reads Correctly.
E20Central Heating Thermistor Sensor FaultCheck resistance reading across the Sensor is approx. 12kohms at 25 degrees c. if not suspect sensor.
E28Flue Thermistor FaultCheck flue Sensor Value Reads Correctly. Check for blocked flue.
E54HW Flow Sensor FaultCheck resistance reading across the Sensor is approx. 12kohms at 25 degrees c. if not suspect sensor.
E78Water Pressure Sensor Fault
E100Internal Clock Time Error On PCBNot Correct Configuration Of Clock Time; Reset clock.
E109Poor CirculationCheck pump; Check that the system is full of water; Check for blockages in the system.
E110Boiler Overheat TrippedCheck that boiler temp is not over 110 degrees C; Check for continuity across the O/H stat; Check pump for circulation; Clear air from system.
E111Maximum Limit Of Flow TemperatureCheck that boiler temp is not over 110 degrees C; Check for continuity across the O/H stat; Check pump for circulation; Clear air from system.
E117System Pressure High (> 2.9 Bar)This Is Displayed When The Primary Water Pressure Is Greater Than 2.8 Bar. Drain water from system until pressure is at 1 - 1.5bar. Check expansion vessel is charged.
E118System Pressure Low (< 0.5 Bar)Check for water leaks; Check the expansion vessel has the correct charge; Add Water Via Filling Loop. Restoring The Correct Pressure Will Reset The Error.
E119System Pressure Low (< 0.5 Bar)Check for water leaks; Check the expansion vessel has the correct charge; Add Water Via Filling Loop. Restoring The Correct Pressure Will Reset The Error.
E125Primary Water Circulation FaultCheck pump; Check that the system is full of water; Clear air from system; Check for blockages in the system; Check that the thermistors are correctly located.
E127Legionella Protection Temperature Not Reached
E128Loss Of Flame During OperationLoss Of Flame In Operation; Check Clean Or Replace The Sensing Electrode, Clean The Burner Surface And Re-Calibrate.
E133Ignition FaultCheck The Wiring; Check The Supply Pressure; Purge The Gas Supply To Remove Air; Check for spark at electrode; Check Ignition and sensing Electrode Condition and Clean/Replace If Necessary; Check Gas Valve is opening; Check Condensate Drain For Blockage.
E153Forced Reset Unit UnlockedHeating Flow Switch Error (Ireland) Pressure Sensor Error (UK)
E160Fan FaultCheck The Fan And The Cable; Probable cause fan failure.
E162Air Pressure Switch ErrorCheck connections across air pressure switch.
E164Heating Flow Switch Error (Ireland) Pressure Sensor Error (UK)Heating Flow Switch Error (Ireland) Pressure Sensor Error (UK)
E166Air Pressure Switch FaultCheck connections across air pressure switch.
E270Dry FireCheck The Sensor; Check the system has water in it; Check the pump for circulation.
E432Earth Connection ErrorCheck electrical supply to appliance.
E433Heat Exchanger Temperature Exceeded (Greater Than 95 Degrees)This is a temporary error and will clear automatically.
